![]() LAURI LEVY - STATEMENTWith a serendipitous blend of intuition and luck, Lauri Levy creates compelling cultural and architectural portraits capturing what Cartier-Bresson defined as "the decisive moment," the confluence of head, heart, and eye along the same point of view. With a complex and spontaneous interaction of observation, understanding, imagination and intention, Lauri blends her insight and conditioning to present her photographic vision, edited in camera, with focal emphasis that balances a mix of classical contrasts. The result is a single isolated image of a bigger story which Diane Arbus called "a secret about a secret." PHOTOGRAPHER Lauri Levy has been a photographer for most of her life. She has documented over 25 years of international architecture and culture and has been selling her work since 1980. Lauri studied photography at The New School, Parsons School of Design, and International Center of Photography in NYC and shown her award winning work at New Century Artists and The Salmagundi Club in NYC, The Print Center in Philadelphia, The Long Island Museum, in Stony Brook, NY and Left Coast Galleries in Studio City, CA in addition to numerous other juried shows. Lauri is CEO of Quantum Leap, a travel service founded in 1980 and from 1978 to 2006, President of GL&S Inc., a marketing firm, and from 2008-present, Vice President of BergKeller, Ltd. a fine art marketing and consulting service.
